Jason added an Outdoor Restroom!

Well, good ole Jason did it again. He made a crawfish table and then decided on some crafts for the left over piece of wood! Only Jason would do this one!

Jason Added a Bathroom!

This was my guest Paul Berner using Jason's new facilities. The toilet seat is coming next week for the ladies, and guys, don't forget to put the seat down!

But we had a good night by the camp fire that evening.

Telling Lies!

(Please excuse my Dad's gesture that I had to blank out of the image!!!!)
Chillin at the Camp Fire!

I shot another Fox!

Well, my gun's not off!

Apparently, foxes are about all I can kill this year!!!
I tried to align two up at a time, but they spooked when I clicked the safety. One came across and I just let go, but then this one made the mistake of coming across at dark as I was packing up! So I guess I can't blame the 6 point I missed last week on my rifle!

Jimmie Gray Fox

Jason was right across from me and took this bad boy! (Third deer ever!)

The only thing we can kill!!!!!!

Other Bucks Taken this week!

Well I don't have a picture of the preacher's nice 8, but I'll post it next week.
Brad took a real nice 5 point that I believe should have been a 7. And a couple of other 6 points were taken.

Chuck's "I F&%@ED UP" Deer!

Chuck's UH-OH 4 Point!

Poor Old Chuck, he has passed and passed and then this Monster came running across and he said, "Shoot, all them horns, there has got to be 3 on one of the sides!" I wasn't too far from him when he shot and we had the radios. He shot 3 times and was upset big time because he thought he missed a nice 7 or 8 point three times!

We all felt bad for him. Then he got there and found out his 7 or 8 point was an illegal 4 point due to the brow tine being broke off on the forked side. MAN HE WAS UPSET!

Now I try to keep my politicing off this site as much as I can, but I've got to agree, it is a dang shame this 170 pound buck with inferior genes can't be shot legally while we can legally take out 110 pound 5 points each day???? I'm sorry, Chuck!

If it makes you feel better, I WOULD HAVE SHOT TOO!!!!

Chuck's Monster 4 Point

Jim Evans 6 Point and Family!

OK, we give old Jim a rough time, I've been callin him "Hippie" all year, but the truth is everyone loves the old fart!

He took this nice 6 point about 165 pounds from what I was told last Wed 1/21/09.

Here is Jim, and some other pics of his family that Jim lives for!

Calem's NICE 6 Point!

Calem, is a new member this year and has been a pleasure to have at the feather.

He took this nice 6 point about two weeks ago I BELIEVE it was on Jan. 15th.
It would have been REALLY nice if it didn't have the messed up side. We see a lot of that at the F&F, but hell I would have been proud as hell of it, and he was for sure.

Way to go Calem, GREAT BUCK TO TAKE!

Calem's NICE 6 Point!

OK, I know I've been behind a bit

Sorry Everyone,

I've been in the woods for basically two weeks. Saw a lot of deer, missed a 6 point running at 200 (I know I suck!) and killed another fox.

Awesome year, had a lot of fun and saw probably more deer than I have ever seen in a single season in my life. Just couldn't get the buck I wanted.

OK, so here we go with some quick catching up.

My 10 Minute Hunt!

Well, not really what I WANTED to post, but I've been catching a lot of slack from some of my Northern buddies (a really blind one) about how I never have one of the bucks in my postings for the club.

Jimmie Loats Jr. Red Fox Jan 9th, 2009

Well Here is one with me and my successful 10 minute hunt about 70 yards behind my camp house (the same stand I took my wife and boy a couple of weeks ago). I got to camp at 4:45, unloaded my stuff, pegged out the stand at 5PM, shot this red fox at 5:10, and was back at camp with the fox by 5:20!!! PRETTY COOL HUNT! My first fox EVER! (See grays all the time, this is the first red fox I ever saw while hunting.) It wasn't 10 minutes from the time I stepped into the stand to the time I stepped out to go get my fox.

Jimmie's Fox up Close

GLENN, I NEED A GOOD DEAL ON A MOUNT? KNOW ANYONE??????????

Jimmie Sr. 5 Point from 96 (1/8/2009)

Well, not many pics to post this week in fact just this one of my Dad and mine posting above. That was about it. But the weather was hot, but the action was still decent. Everyone is seeing deer and it looks like the bucks will be chasing within a week to week and a half REALLY HARD!

Jimmie Loats Sr. 5 Point Jan 8th, 2009

But here is my pops' 5 point. I know he has passed MANY like this but he hasn't taken anything with horns in MANY MANY years, and this one apparently was seemed pretty messed up, so he laid him down in old 96 last Thursday night.

Chuck "Fur & Feather" Savage's 6 Point

Big Chuck is stacking them up this year. On Sunday night, 1/4/2009 he got this 145 pound 6 point to add to the 5 does he has already harvested.

THE MAN IS A SLAYER!

Chuck "Fur And Feather" Savage's 6 Point

Britt's FIRST RACK BUCK! 1/3/2009

Britt's 7 Point

Well, old Britt who hunts just about more than anyone in the club other than Chuck, finally bagged some horns. It has to be said, he was upset because he couldn't go to 136 to go after some raggedy little 5 point and instead "settled" for 96!!!!

He woke up from a morning nap JUST IN TIME to see this MONSTER 7 point stepping out of the woods and coming down to the green field. HOW LUCKY IS THAT? The buck is a giant main frame 6 point with TWO brow tines, not split but two on the right hand side. NICE!

Well, Britt, we are all happy for you, Good Job, Homie! He'll look great on your wall.

TWO BROW TINES!
Britt's Monster 7 Point!

Christopher's First Deer

I don't know how else to say it, but I just like the hell out of this kid! He is a good boy and he has a good Grandpa that takes good care of him.

On Friday, they went out and bagged his first deer. They weren't on our property, but they brought the deer back for the show.

Thanks for sharing the memory with us Jim, and WAY TO GO CHRISTOPHER!

He says next time he is shooting an 11 point!

Phil's 5 Point

Big Phil bagged one Friday night at the on the small gas line stand 130 chasing a doe.

It probably was a 6 point but was broken off on one of the main beams.

Phil's 5 Point killed running does at 130!

Dale's New Year's Morning 8 Point!

Dale actually woke up and shot this great Buck!

BIG DALE, with a little help from fellow podna Dean, got this good 8 point buck while I was still in bed in la la land. Way to go at him big Dale. Nice Buck.

Dale's 8 Pointer!

Fur & Feather New Year's Eve 2008/2009!!!!!

Well, last week we had an AWESOME NEW YEAR IN THE WOODS! A little hot for this time of year and a little wet, but we didn't let that stop us. I had my wife and boy (Melissa and Jimmie III) there with me along with my Pops (Jimmie Sr.) and his wife Patti.

We had a great crew down there for the New Year, including our neighbors Brian and Abby Ganus from our home in Hayden, AL who came down just to hang out with us at the club. Chuck even got his better looking half down (had a great time, Tammy!) and we actually had a pretty good crew there for being in the middle of no where.

Mallory insisted on dressing up, and as usual the party would not have been the same with out her and her AWESOME personality. Thanks for being the spark of the party!

Amanda and Britt, Wes, Dale, Dean, Jim all were there as well to help us bring in the new year and we did it right and had a great time doing it!

THE BEST PART OF THE NIGHT FOR ME, although great company was awesome, but when I talked to my sister who just got engaged to my future brother in-law, Dustin about a week ago to wish them Happy New Year, Dustin asked me (in my slightly relaxed state of mind) to be a groomsman in their wedding. I can't say how proud I am to do this or how proud I am of both of them as a wonderful young couple. Thanks for including me in your wonderful day, I can't wait! We missed ya'll on New Year's!

Thanks to all of you for the good times! Here are some pics to remind you of the more embarrasing things you did and are trying to forget about!!! ;-)
